As a follow-up to our predicted holiday promotions and marketing trends post, below are a few examples of the marketing initiatives we have set up for our client websites over the past few weeks.
alice + olivia
Embracing the momentum of online video content, alice + olivia embedded a Holiday 2011 video on the homepage of its ecommerce website. The video was present on the homepage in conjunction with its distribution on the NYC Taxi TV network.

Ariat created a custom holiday homepage design. Festive design elements were also added to the Gift Picks landing pages and category pages.
The Holiday Collection is featured on Diptyque’s homepage, as well as within the Gifts category page where a “Seasonal Gifts” subcategory can be viewed. Recently these candles have received some good press, including features in InStyle.com’s Gift Guide, Style.com’s Hostess Gifts guide, and the Zoe Report.
Kidrobot’s holiday gift guide below, which incorporates the brand’s signature tongue in cheek charm.
Chrome is offering a free holiday shipping promotion as well as the extra incentive of a gift with purchase.
Several other clients including Steiner Sports and Milly are promoting gift cards for sale, which are definitely an attractive purchase during the holiday season. According to Shop.org/NRF’s pre-Holiday survey report, gift cards were ranked number one for type of gifts consumers would like to receive.
